This certificate (C&G 2382-12) ensures you are up-to-date with the latest industry regulations on installation, testing and certification of electrical systems and equipment. It covers Amendment 1 (Green Book), which came into force on 1st January 2012. If you're a practicing electrician, you must comply with the current regulations for electrical work.

The IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) are the definitive standards for the electrical industry in respect of safe use and operation of electrical equipment and systems. They set requirements and operating criteria for the UK and correspond to EC standards and are recognized by the British Standards Institute as a British Standard (BS 7671).

Prospective students

This qualification is primarily aimed at trainee and practicing electricians with and other allied professionals e.g. surveyors, consultants and other trades needing to update and enhance their understanding of IET Wiring Regulations.

In addition to our multiple choice papers we have on offer a distance learning course designed to provide an alternative to the standard college courses and at a much reduced cost. This course also complies with the requirements of BS 7671:2008 including the 1st January 2012 amendments.
