2391-10         Certificate in the Certification of Electrical Installations
(Inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations)

Level 3           The course is intended for experienced people working in the industry wanting to become qualified supervisors. It is not intended for non-qualified electricians. It is assumed those persons undertaking the course have experience in inspection and testing of electrical installations. Covers periodic testing of existing installations.

Assessment:

Unit 301         Underpinning  knowledge –         one written exam (closed book)    2.5 hours
                        Recommended guided learning hours    15hrs

Unit 302         Practical application –         one practical assessment
                        Recommended guided learning hours    15hrs

2392-10         Certificate in Fundamental Inspection, Testing and Initial Verification

Level 2           Cover new installations.

The course is aimed at providing practicing electricians who have limited experience of inspection and testing. This is an update/refresher suitable for helping candidates progress on to the 2391-10.

Also suitable for those entering the industry from other engineering disciplines or working in allied trades.
