The 2391-52 'Combined' Initial Verification and Periodic Inspection and Testing is usually the most popular of the three options as it covers all aspects of the subject.
This level will suit you if you work as an operative within the electrotechnical industry. The qualification has been developed to ensure persons are conversant with the requirements of BS 7671 for the inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations. It is intended for personnel working in the electrical industry who have at least a basic understanding of electrical inspection & testing and require further 'in depth' knowledge, practical testing and formal certification. It is recommended that candidates have achieved the City & Guilds 18th Edition Certificate before attempting the above course, but this is not normally compulsory.
