Overview 2377 IET Code of Practice for In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment

Gain knowledge and qualifications to carry out inspection and testing of portable electrical appliances (PAT testing).

Learn how to test portable electrical appliances with the Code of Practice for In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment. If you already work as an electrician it will add another string to your bow and can help you move up in the industry.

There are two units, these being

Unit 100


Management of Electrical Equipment Maintenance (2377-11)
Biased towards the administration (paperwork) of PAT Testing systems

Unit 200


Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (2377-12)
Biased towards the practical inspection and testing requirements
Bycon advises students to take both units before sitting the exams. It has been the experience of this author that some of the exam questions are better understood if you have attended both units/ courses before taking the exams.
